CareerRivet is a paid, private workspace. Our business model is membership fees, not your data. This page explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.
What we collect
- Sign-in details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account ID. We use these to create and secure your workspace.
- License key. The key you receive when you buy a membership, used to activate your workspace and confirm your membership on each use.
- Your workspace content. The applications, job descriptions, resume versions, scores, notes and learning progress you create. This is your data, stored in your own isolated workspace.
What we do not collect
- We never see your card details. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Gumroad); we receive only confirmation that your membership is active.
- We do not read your email, contacts or calendar. Google sign-in is used only to identify you.
- We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with advertisers.
How your workspace is isolated
Each customer's workspace is separated at the database level with row-level security, not just hidden in the app. Only you can read your workspace. Membership status is checked live with our payment provider on every use.
Services we rely on
- Google - sign-in. Google's own privacy policy applies to their authentication.
- Gumroad - payments, license keys, refunds. Gumroad's privacy policy applies to checkout.
- Vercel and Neon - hosting and database infrastructure where the service and workspaces run.
- Your own AI provider - the Learn feature runs through your own AI account and key; that content goes to the provider you chose, under your terms with them.
Cookies
We use only what is needed to run sign-in and keep your session. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Export and deletion
You can export your whole workspace at any time from inside the app. To delete your account and data, email engagehubtique@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Material changes will be flagged on the site before they take effect.
